Bioract is affiliated with Flowfect's leadership team and they have an extensive history in the energy industry ranging from core activities like exploration, drilling, completions, production, to peripheral activities like crude transportation, wellbore and flowline servicing, site management, site maintenance, cleaning refining bundles, and fuel blending. Mr. Syed Jafri is overall responsible for directing and developing the company, overseeing the expansion of its nascent Houston Area operations and leading a small team of talented and trained U.S. workforce.

Mr. Syed Jafri

President/Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Syed Jafri has extensive experience and background in managing multi-faceted projects during his work history with Union Texas, Arco Oil Company & British Petroleum. Since he started at the beginning level, he gained invaluable experience over his personal 30 years long career in the oilfield and medical equipment. He used to manage and direct the projects that required multidisciplinary knowledge and management. Later, he joined an international trading company that focused on importing advanced medical equipment, manufactured by Hitachi Corporation and General Electric Company, to Pakistan. In that role, he was tasked to prepare installation sites with adequate infrastructure and staff to ensure satisfactory deliveries, commissioning of the machines, and maintenance of the machines perpetually. Mr. Syed Jafri also managed the fiscal budgets for such projects. Mr. Syed Qamar Jafri is a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bioract Environmental Services, taking overall responsibility for establishing and implementing policies and goals, and for directing and developing the Houston operations of Bioract in pursuit of these goals.

Dr. Syed Akbar

Chief Scientist

Syed is a scientist, researcher, innovator, and entrepreneur. His extensive experience and background in proppant technologies, fracturing fluids, and hydraulic fracturing complement his doctoral works in Interfacial Engineering, Advanced Polymer Chemistry, and Material Science. Syed is a natural researcher whose innate curiosity leads him to a continuous path of innovation. During his 15 year tenure at Santrol Proppants, a division of Fairmount Minerals, he individually authored and co-authored several patents relating to proppants and technologies used in hydraulic fracturing. Before departing Fairmount Santrol, Syed held the position as Chief Scientist. As a Chief Technology Officer of Flowfect, he continues his innovative work in developing ideas and technology that are environmentally responsible and benefit oil & gas industry. In addition to his professional pursuits in energy industry, Syed satisfies his intellectual curiosity by conducting research in the areas of neurological sciences, nutrition, and astronomy. As an entrepreneur, Syed is passionately involved in discovering ways to create employment, helping youth to self-sufficiency through education and training, and serving the under privileged through charitable efforts. He attended Rice University and currently resides in the Houston Area with his family.

Johnny Melancon

Chief Operating Officer

Johnny is a leader, organizer, and mentor by his very nature.  He and his family have been in and around the oilfield their entire lives, and therefore he brings three generations worth of experience to Flowfect. Johnny began his oilfield career as a field hand while he was a junior in high school. Since he started at grassroots level, he gained invaluable experience over his personal 39 years long career in the oilfield. Johnny has owned several businesses in the energy industry which helped him develop a vast background knowledge of the industry at various levels. From the very beginning Johnny was taught by his father that a foundation of honesty and integrity are vital in the success and sustainability of a business. Johnny continued on his father’s track by keeping honesty and integrity at the core of his business and leadership model. Johnny naturally understands the intricacies and detailed processes required to conduct a successful and robust business. Johnny currently oversees all operating functions of Flowfect. He has been instrumental in developing specialized tools, including Flowfect’s Flowpal™ Technology, for paraffin remediation. Johnny lives in Devine, TX where he preaches at a local church as an ordained minister.
